Do you have any extra towels lying around? Do not throw them away just yet. This tutorial will help you convert your extra towel into a great hooded towels for your child. Hooded towel can be of great help in winters when children are usually reluctant to get into the bath tub. So let’s begin!
1. Grab your hand towel and cut into two equal half pieces. We will be working with only one half of the towel.
2. Now, grab the ribbon and place it on the towel. Cut the ribbon according to the width of the towel.
3. Sew the ribbon to the sides of the bigger towel and the small piece of hand towel, as shown in the figure below.
4. To make the hood, fold the hand towel in half.
5. Now, flip the hand towel over so that the ribbon faces downwards.
6. Now pin the two open sides of the towel and stitch with your sewing machine.
7. Now, grab one corner of the towel and turn it down, as shown in the figure below.
8. Next, pin the corner of the turned side of the towel to the top layer of the towel.
9. Similarly, repeat the process for the other side of the towel. The result should look something like the image below.
10. Sew the two corners of the towel to the top layer of the towel.
11. Now, the hood is ready to be attached to the big towel. Before you start, make sure that the ribbon faces downward while you attach the hood.
12. Find the center of the towel and sew the bottom layer of the hood with the towel with the help of your sewing machine.
And that is it! The hooded towel is all ready to be used.
