If you are sucker for homemade baby clothes and accessories, then you have come to the right place. In this tutorial, I will be teaching you how to create a tulle headband and ruffle butt for your newborn baby. So, let’s begin!
1. Let’s start with the headband. Measure and cut small pieces from Tulle.
2. Cut a small circle (around 3 inches) of felt and wrap around the tulle around your thumb, as shown in the figure below. Now, attach the tulle to the circle with the help of hot glue. Add all the pieces of tulle to the circle.
3. The result should look something like the image shown below.
4. Cut to two equally sized felt circles. Now, attach a clip to one of the felt circles, as shown below.
4. Place the hot glue on the other felt circle.
5. Now, attach the other felt circle on top of the circle to which we just added the glue. This will hide the clip prong.
And there we have our gorgeous little tulle bow!
1. Measure tulle according to the size of your baby’s shorts, which you wish to use for the ruffle butt.
2. Cut equal length pieces of tulle from different colored tulle spools.
3. Grab your needle and the thread and sew all the tulle pieces to the shorts in an aligned manner.
4. Stitch all the pieces of tulle separately, as shown in the figure below.
5. Now, for a stronger grip, stitch the tulle pieces to your baby’s shorts with the help of a sewing machine.
All done! The ruffle butt is now ready to be worn.
Doesn’t that just look astoundingly gorgeous!
